Every hymn here is in the public domain in the United States: its words, its tune and its harmony were all published before 1931. The four-part settings come from the Open Hymnal Project and the Christian Classics Ethereal Hymnary, and each hymn’s page says where its words and music were first printed. The recordings are arranged and recorded by Fish the Right from those settings, the melody note for note and every chord the hymnal’s own, played on sampled instruments: the Salamander Grand Piano V3 by Alexander Holm (CC BY 3.0), VSCO 2 Community Edition by Versilian Studios, Virtuosity Drums and Black And Blue Basses by Versilian Studios and Karoryfer Samples, and GeneralUser GS by S. Christian Collins.
